Junior Technician
Responabilities
• Ensuring that the company’s show stock of equipment is maintained to the highest standards and available for show use
• Maintain technical kit by updating firmware, testing and general maintenance
• Prepping kit, un-packing and consolidating supplier equipment, loading and un-loading trucks, stock management, driving and supporting the wider company as required
• Support on-site by rigging, de-rigging and operating across various disciplines
• Technical Operation / Engineer roles on projects
• Independently complete small-scale projects, communication with client and operating equipment
• Maintain / Update rental management system with product details etc
• Work with clients/ project managers where required to conduct technical recces, attend production meetings and advise technical aspects of a project
Experience and Skills (Essential)
• Experience with AV troubleshooting
• Maintain technical kit by updating firmware, testing and general maintenance
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good, clear and friendly communication with clients both electronically and in-person
• Extremely high levels of competence with computers (primarily Windows)
Experience and Skills (Desired)
• Knowledge of Current RMS
• Experience with live video production technology; including cameras, video switchers, network routers and switches, and PCs.
• Experience with Blackmagic Design video equipment
Requirements
• Fluent English
• Technically competent with PC, MAC
• Friendly and comfortable working with new people
• Team player, but capable of working under own steam on tasks set by line manager
• Full clean UK driving licence and vehicle for travel to and from site
• Desire to learn new video/ audio/ networking technology
